No Internet

July 24th, 2007

On sunday we went to Chris and Carla’s, we played with some dogs and went to the top of their roof, we played on the computer and after midnight we went home through the streets of Rome.

water fountains

We love the water fountains everywhere.

On Monday we went to the Colosseum, it was cool we saw where the Romans kept the lions and animals. When we were going home we got a picture of a man pretending to be a Roman.

We went to Super (our friend Johnny’s shop – Mum). then we stood around a fountain having dinner and going home.

and Churches

July 22nd, 2007

On friday first I vommited, but I started feeling a tiny wincy incy bit better after lunch.

We went on a tram which was a little bit scary cause it went kish-kish, kish-kish.

We went to a church, and in the basement there were the bone Egyptians and I thought they would come to life. Some of the bones were complete skeletons and some had dried out skin and clothes on!

Then we went and saw some fountains and we threw some coins over our heads into one of them for the poor people. The fountain (Ian – Trevi fountain) was really cool.

Then we bought Ethan and me a hat cause it is soooo hot. My hat is pink with flowers on it, and blue petals and purple and green.

we ate ice cream

We ate ice cream.

We saw a piazza with some cats in it. We caught a bus and a tram home.

It is mow lunchtime on saturday – I had cocoa-pops with a banana for lunch.

This morning I said to mum “do you feel sick” and she said “yes.”

Then we went on a bus ride around Rome. The best thing about the bus ride was when mum bought me an umbrella, and I put it by where the jewel fairy lives with the pillows in the hall.

We saw a big church but it was boring. Daddy called it St Peters or something.

Fountains

July 22nd, 2007

Hey.

Yesterday I went to some fountains. the first one was a person and the water was sprouting out of a helmet he wore. The next one was the Trevi fountain. An old saying is that if you throw a coin in you will always return to Rome. I wish I hadn’t thrown one in now!

When we went back we went to a church and I prayed. Next to the church is a part of it which has all the muddled bones of old monks made into patterns. I thought it was cool!

We had some ice cream which was good because it is soooo hot here. Then we went to another church, the Pantheon, which is 1800 years old!

After we went home then went out for dinner at a trattoria around the corner from where we are staying, I had some chips and a coke. Then we went home and went to bed.

I am not really enjoying Rome cause I am missing my friends and missing my computer.

This morning we went on a bus ride and stopped off at St Peters cathedral. I really like the churches here, they have neat marble everywhere and they are nice and cool.

Soon aunty Cindy and aunty Jana are arriving, then I will have the Playstation portable to play on. I can’t wait!

I hope all my friends are well, I am missing you.

Rome, Italy

July 21st, 2007

Hi, yesterday I was sick; I do not want to talk about it. Today Stella is sick. My family were going to go out to the Villa Borghese today, but we are not now!

On wednesday I went on a big walk with my family and our friends Venti and Karen. We walked out of London (Ian – from Enfield into the green belt) and had dinner (we call it lunch). We walked along the river and through the woods and caught a train home.

In Rome we met a man called Christopher; he picked us up and took us to our flat in the centre of Rome.

Aeroplanes and funny tummies

July 20th, 2007

Yesterday we went to the airport and Ethan was sick. We went on an aeroplane to Italy, now we are in Rome.

I met mum and dad’s friend Christopher for the first time. I like his look and he has got a car.

It is very hot here.

I am sick today. My tummy is kind of gurgling and moving around.

Tate Modern

July 18th, 2007

On tuesday we went to a pub for lunch with dad’s friend Michael, Fred didn’t come along. I had some lasagna, it was yummy.

We went to the Tate Modern art gallery. There was a projection of a light switch on the wall, if you tried to push it you realised it was fake. There was also a sculpture of a toilet and it was the colour of pee. It was called ‘what goes in comes out’.

We went to uncle Karl and uncle Peter’s for dinner before going to sleep.

Walk in the Woods

July 18th, 2007

On wednesday we visited Venti in Enfield. We went by tube and train.

We walked along the New River, it was scary cause we saw some big fish and I saw some ducks that looked like a crocodile but when I looked closely they were 3 ducks!

We went to a pub for lunch then we walked back through the woods and we scootered.

Princess Di

July 17th, 2007

On monday I went to a memorial playground for Princess Di. The playground was all based on Peter Pan.

I went to the top of a pirate ship, I could see the Indian huts, the Lost Boys house and the crocodile. I made friends with another boy before we went home.
